Position Overview – UI/UX Design Mentor at SkillShikshya

SkillShikshya is seeking knowledgeable and passionate mentors in UI/UX Design to guide and empower aspiring designers as they develop the skills required to thrive in today’s fast-evolving world.

As a mentor, you’ll play a pivotal role in helping learners build a strong foundation in user research, interaction design, wireframing, prototyping, and usability testing. Through structured learning paths, you’ll provide personalized feedback, share industry best practices, and support learners in applying their knowledge to real-world design tools and projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one and group mentorship to learners enrolled in SkillShikshya’s UI/UX courses.
• Offer guidance on design career paths, portfolio building, certifications, and industry best practices.
• Support learners by addressing practical and technical queries related to design processes and tools.
• Review student projects, give constructive feedback, and track progress.
• Conduct Q&A sessions, live doubt-clearing, and design-focused webinars when needed.
• Collaborate with curriculum designers to ensure content stays design-industry relevant and aligned with UX standards.

Requirements

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in UI/UX Design.
• Strong knowledge of Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, usability principles, and design frameworks.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills — able to break down complex design concepts clearly and patiently.
• A genuine passion for teaching, design, and helping others succeed.
• Bonus: Prior experience in mentoring, coaching, or training (formal or informal).
