Position Overview – UI/UX Design Mentor at SkillShikshya

SkillShikshya is seeking knowledgeable and passionate mentors inUI/UX Designto guide and empower aspiring designers as they develop the skills required to thrive in today’s fast-evolving world.

As a mentor, you’ll play a pivotal role in helping learners build a strong foundation inuser research, interaction design, wireframing, prototyping, and usability testing. Through structured learning paths, you’ll provide personalized feedback, share industry best practices, and support learners in applying their knowledge to real-world design tools and projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one and group mentorship to learners enrolled in SkillShikshya’s UI/UX courses.
• Offer guidance ondesign career paths, portfolio building, certifications, and industry best practices.
• Support learners by addressing practical and technical queries related todesign processes and tools.
• Review student projects, give constructive feedback, and track progress.
• Conduct Q&A sessions, live doubt-clearing, and design-focused webinars when needed.
• Collaborate with curriculum designers to ensure content staysdesign-industry relevant and aligned with UX standards.

Requirements

• Preferred 3+ years of hands-on experience in UI/UX Design.
• Strong knowledge of Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, usability principles, design frameworks or other tools.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills — able to break down complex design concepts clearly and patiently.
• A genuine passion for teaching, design, and helping others succeed.
• Bonus:Prior experience in mentoring, coaching, or training (formal or informal).
