Position Overview – Graphic Design Mentor at SkillShikshya

SkillShikshya is seeking knowledgeable and passionate mentors in Graphic Design to guide and empower aspiring designers as they develop the skills required to thrive in today’s fast-evolving world.

As a mentor, you’ll play a pivotal role in helping learners build a strong foundation in visual design, typography, branding, illustration, and layout design. Through structured learning paths, you’ll provide personalized feedback, share industry best practices, and support learners in applying their knowledge to real-world design projects and tools.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one and group mentorship to learners enrolled in SkillShikshya’s Graphic Design courses.

• Offer guidance on design career paths, portfolio building, certifications, and industry best practices.

• Support learners by addressing practical and technical queries related to design principles, software, and creative workflows.

• Review student projects, give constructive feedback, and track progress.

• Conduct Q&A sessions, live doubt-clearing, and design-focused webinars when needed.

• Collaborate with curriculum designers to ensure content stays up-to-date with graphic design trends and standards.

Requirements

• Preferred 3+ years of hands-on experience in Graphic Design.

• Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Figma, and other design tools.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills — able to break down complex design concepts clearly and patiently.

• A genuine passion for teaching, creativity, and helping others succeed.

• Bonus: Prior experience in mentoring, coaching, or training (formal or informal).
