Position Overview – Data Science & Machine Learning Mentor at SkillShikshya

SkillShikshya is seeking knowledgeable and passionate mentors in Data Science and Machine Learning to guide and empower aspiring professionals as they develop the skills required to thrive in today’s fast-evolving world.

As a mentor, you’ll play a pivotal role in helping learners build a strong foundation in data analysis, statistical modeling, machine learning algorithms, data visualization, and predictive analytics. Through structured learning paths, you’ll provide personalized feedback, share industry best practices, and support learners in applying their knowledge to real-world datasets and projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one and group mentorship to learners enrolled in SkillShikshya’s Data Science and Machine Learning courses.

• Offer guidance on career paths, certifications, tools, and industry best practices.

• Support learners by addressing practical and technical queries related to data preprocessing, model building, and evaluation.

• Review student projects, give constructive feedback, and track progress.

• Conduct Q&A sessions, live doubt-clearing, and data-focused webinars when needed.

• Collaborate with curriculum designers to ensure content stays aligned with industry trends and best practices in data science.

Requirements

• Preferred 3+ years of hands-on experience in Data Science and Machine Learning.

• Strong knowledge of related tools.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills — able to break down complex data concepts clearly and patiently.

• A genuine passion for teaching, technology, and helping others succeed.

• Bonus: Prior experience in mentoring, coaching, or training (formal or informal).
