Position Overview – Cybersecurity Mentor at SkillShikshya

SkillShikshya is seeking knowledgeable and passionate mentors in Cybersecurity to guide and empower aspiring professionals as they develop the skills required to thrive in today’s fast-evolving world.

As a mentor, you’ll play a pivotal role in helping learners build a strong foundation in network security, ethical hacking, vulnerability assessment, threat analysis, and incident response. Through structured learning paths, you’ll provide personalized feedback, share industry best practices, and support learners in applying their knowledge to real-world cybersecurity tools and scenarios.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one and group mentorship to learners enrolled in SkillShikshya’s Cybersecurity courses.

• Offer guidance on cybersecurity career paths, certifications, and industry best practices.

• Support learners by addressing practical and technical queries related to security protocols, threat mitigation, and ethical hacking techniques.

• Review student projects, give constructive feedback, and track progress.

• Conduct Q&A sessions, live doubt-clearing, and security-focused webinars when needed.

• Collaborate with curriculum designers to ensure content stays current with cybersecurity trends and industry standards.

Requirements

• Preferred 3+ years of hands-on experience in Cybersecurity.

• Strong knowledge of network security, penetration testing tools, firewalls, SIEM systems, and ethical hacking frameworks.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills — able to break down complex cybersecurity concepts clearly and patiently.

• A genuine passion for teaching, technology, and helping others succeed.

• Bonus: Prior experience in mentoring, coaching, or training (formal or informal).
