Position Overview – Backend Django Mentor at SkillShikshya

SkillShikshya is seeking knowledgeable and passionate mentors in Backend Development with Django to guide and empower aspiring developers as they develop the skills required to thrive in today’s fast-evolving tech world.


As a mentor, you’ll play a pivotal role in helping learners build a strong foundation in Python, Django framework, API development, database management, authentication, and deployment practices. Through structured learning paths, you’ll provide personalized feedback, share industry best practices, and support learners in applying their knowledge to real-world backend projects and systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide one-on-one and group mentorship to learners enrolled in SkillShikshya’s Backend Django courses.

  • Offer guidance on career paths, certifications, and backend industry best practices.

  • Support learners by addressing practical and technical queries related to Django development, REST APIs, and database integration.

  • Review student projects, give constructive feedback, and track progress.

  • Conduct Q&A sessions, live doubt-clearing, and backend-focused webinars when needed.

  • Collaborate with curriculum designers to ensure content stays aligned with modern backend development trends and standards.

Requirements

  • Preferred 3+ years of hands-on experience in Backend Development using Django.

  • Strong knowledge of Python, Django ORM, RESTful APIs, PostgreSQL/MySQL, authentication systems, and deployment tools (Docker, AWS, etc.).

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills — able to break down complex backend concepts clearly and patiently.

  • A genuine passion for teaching, coding, and helping others succeed.

  • Bonus: Prior experience in mentoring, coaching, or training (formal or informal).
